At ABB, we understand that efficiencies make a world of difference - operationally, financially, environmentally and for our society. In order to achieve higher efficiencies, motors rely on VFDs, or Variable Frequency Drives, to control the torque and speed and optimize performances. Transitioning from a DOL (direct on line) motor to variable speed operation can save up to 40% in energy costs. All Baldor-Reliance three-phase motors are inverter duty and meet or exceed all efficiency requirements for U.S., Canada and Mexico regulations.
