Learn Successful Project Execution at APW

As projects become more complex in an increasingly global environment, effective project execution is the key to keeping projects on track, on time, and within budget. At this year’s Automation & Power World, we are featuring an entire track around successful project execution taught by industry experts.

This track offers courses for all levels of expertise, from basic introduction to project management to more complex topics, such as behavioral and organizational issues, and advanced project management techniques.

Our introductory courses include topics such as, managing a project through the use of schedule and cost controls, and case studies that show how to successfully manage a project in the three critical areas: people, process and technology.

We will also address behavioral and organizational issues that threaten successful project execution. Courses include harnessing conflict in the project management process in order to improve results and how to repair or strengthen damaged relationships. We will also address strategies on obtaining buy-in, commitment and action on the part of others throughout the project planning process.

Lastly, we have more advanced project management courses that address proactive risk management and business continuity planning, discuss the advantages of an integrated supply chain, and analyze project risks.

If you would like to find out more about our project management track at Automation and Power World please go to www.abb.com/apworld, click on sample agenda builder, search under business area/track: Business Forum and click on Project Execution.
