Baldor Listed In "Fortune 1000"
Baldor Electric Company has joined Fortune magazine’s elite "Fortune 1000". The list is a compilation of the largest U.S. industrial corporations ranked by sales volume. Baldor’s 2007 sales of $1.8 billion placed Baldor in the 935th position.
Fortune magazine, circulated globally to more than 1 million readers, is published primarily for executives and upper-level managers in industrial corporations, financial institutions, and service companies. It focuses on ideas, issues, individuals and investments that can help readers better manage their business and personal finances. It also chronicles social, political and economic changes and reports on how these changes affect the business community.
Baldor has been mentioned editorially several times in Fortune, and in 1998 and 1999 was selected by Fortune as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For in America."
