Remote Condition Monitoring

The ABB Ability™ Smart Sensor converts traditional motors, pumps, mounted bearings and gearing into smart, wirelessly connected devices. It measures key parameters from the surface of the equipment which can be used to gain meaningful information on its condition and performance.

LEAP (Life Expectancy Analysis Program) for medium voltage motors

ABB Ability™ LEAP analyzes the condition and expected lifetime of stator winding insulation to detect potential problems well before they become critical and cause expensive downtime. Having information on the insulation’s condition and expected lifetime enables you to plan maintenance in advance.

AGI (Air Gap Inspector)

Provides a visual inspection using a robotic crawler – ABB Air Gap Inspector – to examine the stator core, rotor core and winding of large motors and generators. The inspections make it possible to check for faults without the need to remove the rotor.

Warranty

If an ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. product is defective due to workmanship or materials and the defect occurs during the warranty period, ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. will either repair the product or replace it with a new one, whichever ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. believes to be appropriate under the circumstances. ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. is not responsible for removal or shipping of the ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. product to the service center, the reinstallation of the ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. product upon its return to the customer, or any incidental or consequential damages resulting from the defect, removal, reinstallation, shipment or otherwise. Warranty service is available for all ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. products from ABB Motors and Mechanical Inc. Authorized Service Centers.
