About the Speakers:
Alex Vitou, Development Engineer for Couplings for Baldor Electric Company, is responsible for the research, development, and design of new products and technologies. He has been with the company for more than 5 years, and also has experience with bearings and power transmission components. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Anderson University. Alex is an active member of the Mechanical Power Transmission Association (MPTA), a non-profit trade association for the power transmission industries, where he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Belt Drive Division. He is also an active member of the Hydraulic Institute, a non-profit trade association for the pumping industries.
Matthew Wolford, Product Manager for Baldor-Dodge Couplings, is responsible for developing global marketing strategies for the elastomeric and metallic coupling business, while also managing business development and new product development activities. He is an active member of the Hydraulic Institute, a non-profit trade association for the pumping industry, where he is the chairman of the coupling technical committee. Matthew holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and minor in business from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
