Baldor●Reliance motors, for the twelfth year in a row, was selected by readers as the top choice in Industrial Electric Motor category in Control Design Magazine Readers' choice awards for 2014. Also receiving recognition from readers, in the Gear Reducer category, was Baldor●Dodge gear reducers.

Voting is done using an unaided balloting system, which means voters are not given a list of vendors or products to choose from. Instead, questionnaires were sent to Control Design Magazine’s machine-builder and system-integrator subscribers, asking them to name companies that provide the best technology value. After choosing their preferred product providers, voters then rate the level of service they receive from them.
