MotiFlex™ e100

MotiFlex™ e100 is the latest generation of 3 phase drive from Baldor. System architecture is simplified by a single, highly flexible drive and motion control platform. For example, control of linear, rotary, servo and vectors is simply a software configuration.

Supported feedback devices range from simple cost effective encoders, through absolute multi-turn devices such as EnDat 2.2 to robust and vibration tolerant resolvers.

All MotiFlex drives include the ability to share DC energy as standard. Each drive can convert power from the AC supply to share with other drives, eliminating the need for separate power supplies. Sharing energy also removes the need for regeneration resistors making the application more energy efficient. Energy is no longer wasted as heat.

MotiFlex™ e100 integrates the advanced capabilities of real-time ETHERNET Powerlink to provide superior performance, network integration and costs savings. MotiFlex e100 is compatible with the NextMove e100 motion controller to provide a fully integrated machine control solution using real-time Ethernet.

MotiFlex e100 supports the CAN in Automation (CiA) drive profile DS402 for remote positioning. This can be used over the ETHERNET Powerlink network or the onboard CANopen link for indexing applications. Dozens of MotiFlex e100 drives can be connected to the ETHERNET Powerlink network.

Motors can be tuned using the intuitive Windows-based Mint WorkBench, which provides full auto-tuning capabilities. Extended capabilities include programmable notch filters to reduce or remove resonance in a machine.

Two option card slots allow the MotiFlex to be tailored for different applications. Options include resolver feedback, additional I/O including analog and digital, fieldbus and Mint programming option for both single and multi-axis applications.

		MotiFlex e100 is compatible with Baldor's multi-axis machine controller, NextMove e100 and range of single phase servo drives, MicroFlex e100 which operate over ETHERNET Powerlink. NextMove e100 provides control of up to 16 coordinated axes of motion and many more non-coordinated axes. Axes can be split amongst the three phase MotiFlex e100 drives and single phase MicroFlex e100 drives to suit the application requirements.
